Forensic psychologist analyzes a school shooter’s manifesto and the attack at CVPA High was a ‘death of despair’.

Before committing a school shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, the a 28-year-old former student who committed the attack wrote hundreds of pages of journals.

She wrote 8 pages about her goals before she died. They were organized by topics with check boxes and the percent that she completed.

What so sad about reading her writing is how 'normal' her goals were. She wanted kids shows like Spongebob and Ducktales. She wanted to see every Studio Ghibli film (style of a ChatGPT trick that took over the internet a few weeks ago). She made it 95% through a 550-piece kitten themed puzzle.

These portions of her writing have playful and childlike qualities that are such a stark difference to the CVPA High School shooter’s manifesto that I obtained exclusive access to last year.
