When one of my husband’s partners was shot and killed, I thought I was prepared for it. I had read about officer’s deaths and the after-effects. I knew what to what for and how to handle it. What I didn’t realize is how much it would affect me or how strong I would have to be, not just for my husband, but for rest of his partners and the wives.
